Q. I use the straightening iron or the curling iron just about every day in my hair. I need something that is a good moisturizer/thermal protector to keep my hair from drying out. Most things I have tried weigh my hair down. Please give me some recommendations on good products to buy. I have tried ion thermal protector. That kept my hair protected but I think it is just a surface protector. I need a lot of moisture but nothing heavy. Thanks a bunch!!

Q. this is the flat iron i have been using for my hair ...i put it almost all the way up..i guess it straightened my hair but it doesn't steam when i use it..is it supposed to? also now my hair feels dry and crunchy...is this what all flat irons do? it is ceramic..is their a flat iron that can be used on damp hair or just one that would put moisture back in my hair? thanks for ur help tonight ps i have the joico thermal spray which i think is more like hair spray i also bought the suave smoothing creme with hope that it will help me out... okay thanks everyone i have some pics of me curly and straight i hate to leave all my hair down cause i have such thick hair and its all horrible layers that i hate so much so its always halfway up...coul [cont.]

A. You have to make sure that your hair is well hydrated. You make be drying it out with the flat irons. When you start to flat iron it make sure you part your hair into small sections at a time. That way you will not have to go over the same section of hair so many times. I use an extra strength hair serum after I wash my hair to add moisture. You may not have time, but I let it air dry with the serum in and it has even more moisture. I think the irons are fine but when using them make sure your hair is not damp. Those type don't have a steam button so you just need to make sure that you have moisture already in your hair.
